Lapsos: transición de cuatro vidas

Nací en Cuba, al igual que mis tres hermanas, todas somos hijas del mismo padre, aún así, vivimos en diferentes lugares debido a nuestras historias. A excepción de mi hermana menor, tenemos madres distintas con diversas nacionalidades, estando actualmente separadas. Me causó curiosidad cómo el contexto es tan importante a la hora de diferenciar cada cuerpo, por lo que quise unir ilusoriamente nuestras vidas en una misma línea de tiempo, como si se tratase de una misma persona.

Para realizar este flipbook, primero recolecté las fotografías de mis hermanas y mías correspondientes, luego, compuse la transición y logré el efecto deseado con 96 dibujos a lápiz. Después escaneé los dibujos y los imprimí para realizar un folioscopio más resistente, éste dispositivo ha sido accionado por cada una de las hermanas, incluyéndome.

I was born in Cuba, like my three sisters, we are all daughters of the same father, even so, we live in different places due to our stories. With the exception of my younger sister, we have different mothers with different nationalities, who are currently separated. I was curious how the context is so important to differentiating each body, so I wanted to unite our lives in the same timeline, as if it were the same person.

To make this flipbook, first I collected the photographs of my sisters and mine corresponding, then I composed the transition and achieved the desired effect with 96 pencil drawings. After, I scanned the drawings and printed them to make a more resistant flipbook, this device has been activated by each of the sisters, including myself.
